LEGACY is all about TRANSFORMATION (part 2)

LEGACY is all about TRANSFORMATION (part 2)

LEGACY is all about TRANSFORMATION, because, although it can take a while to see fruition in ministry, it is tangible-eternal evidence that God is working in that city or region of the world! Much to our delight, LEGACY has been directly involved in several transformation-opportunities, as stated in part one of LEGACY is all about TRANSFORMATION. We'll look at them one-by-one, over the next few weeks. We will begin with South Korea.

SOUTH KOREA

Brother Bill was contacted by Highest Praise Worship Ministry of Seoul in 2011 after submitting his worship book "Beyond The Gates Of Praise" for possible publication. After reading his book, their reply included, "Brother Bill, we have been looking for a book that speaks about Apostolic Worship. We need to publish your book in South Korea."
But, soon enough, an additional email came stating, "Brother Bill, let's put a hold on your book. We believe our country in not ready for this heavy message."
After some discussion, Bill was asked to join Matt Redman (England-International songwriter and worship artist), Kari Jobe (Dallas, TX-Gateway Worship), Allen Hood (Kansas City, KS-International House Of Prayer), Dean Mitchum (Santa Rosa Beach, FL-Christian International Ministries), Bob Sorge (Kansas City, MO-Oasis House), Bob Fitts (Kailua-Kona, HI-Bob Fitts Music), several Korean worship leaders, and, of course, our Brother Bill (McAlester, OK-Legacy of Worship, Int'l).
These worship ministries were asked to collaboratively write two chapters each to introduce South Korea to heaven's expectation of worship. Originally, it was called:

THE W-PROJECT (and later re-named "I Am A Worship Leader".): look close...you will see Brother Bill's photo in the middle of the other global-impacting worship ministries.

LEGACY is all about TRANSFORMATION (part 1)

LEGACY is all about TRANSFORMATION (part 1)

LEGACY, the ministry of Bill and Lynda Faught, has TRANSFORMATION in its DNA. We know this is true about the ministry Jesus began two thousand years ago, so why would LEGACY be any different? It is an honor to leave a ministry fingerprint on a nation...no doubt about it! Here are a few examples of how LEGACY is part of an ongoing TRANSFORMATION in various countries:

**South Korea: The W-PROJECT, a joint effort to assist in bringing the country into the 21st century in its worship (watch this 1 minute clip of the project with worship artists like: Matt Redman, Kari Jobe, Allen Hood [of IHOP], and more others

LEGACY is all about TRANSFORMATION; this is our sincerest desire, as we labor with Christ in SE Asia, Latin America and East Africa. We also hold true to the saying made popular by the Moravians hundreds of years ago: "LET US WIN FOR THE LAMB THE REWARD FOR HIS SUFFERING". His reward is souls, and the desire of the nations are turning to Jesus.

LEGACY is beyond excited to be part of a worldwide effort by the Church-at-large to present the nations to Jesus. Here is one motto we use often: we are gathering the nations to worship Jesus!

LEGACY is all about PEOPLE (part 5)

LEGACY is all about PEOPLE (part 5)

The Philippines is has been on the LEGACY of Worship, Int'l radar since 1978. Bill first went to the Philippines at the young age of 17 years old. He had just graduated from high school when asked to go with an American missionary to Baguio City, the summer capitol of the Philippines in the northern part of the main island, Luzon. The missionary had asked Bill to go for three months during the summer.
Being born into a military family made it easier for Bill to adjust to the sights and sounds of a new culture. The call and destiny of God went swiftly into action!
Upon Bill's return, he and Lynda married in the Spring of 1979 and, by the Fall of that year, they returned to Central Luzon with Evangelists Jimmy and Fran Jones (and daughter Jana) to spend 3 months working conducting outdoor crusades in the cities of Santa Rita and Lubao (in the Pampanga Province), and Bamban (in the Tarlac Province). By the way, 2 of the 3 churches are still thriving!
Helping with the crusades began a life-long relationship with Carlito and Estela Villanueva, the Bishop and First Lady of Calvary Temple Ministries, Int'l based in Angeles City. Now, this relationship spans more than 4 decades.
Today, Bishop and Mrs. Villanueva watch over more then 100 churches in the Philippines, as well as a few other countries as well!
LEGACY of Worship, Int'l has also touched Filipino churches in the USA and Canada, because of their relationship with Bishop Villanueva. In California, this is in Haywood, Vallejo, South San Francisco, Stockton, and Fresno. In Illinois, this is in Skokie, Bolingbrook, Zion, and Chicago. In New York, this is in Staten Island, and Queens...just to name a few churches.
Below is a quick trip down memory lane. RELATIONSHIP is everything! LEGACY is all about PEOPLE!

LEGACY is all about PEOPLE (part 2)

LEGACY is all about PEOPLE (part 2)

Going to nations by revelation is our approach to missions; Kenya was expected, as you know by reading last week's blog, but traveling to the Republic of Burundi was not. We went to both of these countries in 2011 for the first time.
Frank B. Msambya, a Daystar University Alumni as mentioned in last week's blog, was visiting some of the Burundian alumni in 2010. While on the return flight to Kenya, Frank heard these words: "Bill and Lynda are to go to Burundi while in Africa". After some prayer, the answer was "YES"; after all, at times, God will speak through your trusted friends.
Upon arriving at the Bujumbura Int'l Airport we were met with Senator Liberat and her husband; both were devout believers. The next morning the choir director for the First Lady was knocking at the door. And that afternoon, the protestant chaplain for the Army and Police Force was sitting in our living room. All-in-all, we met several senators and members of parliament; but we were unprepared for the two biggest surprises.
On Friday before our departure, we were sitting in the State House of Burundi. Dr. Albert Nasasagare Deputy Chief of Staff walked into the waiting room, stating, "I have 10 minutes only. How may I help you?" Two hours later were still chatting about the goodness of God! To close out time together, Dr. Albert apologized on behalf of the president or not being able to meet with us. We understood and left our gift for the president on the table. As we turned to leave, with raised excitement Dr. Albert said, "Wait, if you don't mind getting your hands dirty, the president will be serving at a community development project tomorrow at 8 am. Meet us there and I'll make sure you have 4 hours with the president." And it happened! We had no idea the wide door God was opening for us. We hosted the president and his entourage in Dallas in the fall of 2011, too.
Legacy returned to Burundi in 2016 to conduct 2 Peace and Reconciliation Conferences. We will go to Burundi again this July. Relationships with governmental officials has only continued to grow over the years. In addition, God has used us as a prophetic voice.
As we partner with our home church, The Kings House of McAlaster, OK, a preschool will be built for the Batwa village of Mwendo in the fall of 2019. It will also be the first fully operational school among the Pgymies. We praise God for what He is doing in Burundi! Below is a photo of Brother Bill working outdoors with the Honorable His Excellency President Pierre Nkurunziza. Asante sana (thank you) for following our story! Next week's blog will explore the second on our list: "LEGACY is all about..." God bless you!

LEGACY is all about PEOPLE (part one)

LEGACY is all about PEOPLE (part 1)

"Priority Status" is a label the US Post Office places on packages to insure that it arrives in-time for  a special occasion; in the kingdom of God, relationship has "Priority Status".
In Galatians 2:2 NLT, the Apostle Paul declared, "I went there because God revealed to me that I should go. While I was there, I met privately with those considered to be leaders of the church and shared with them the message I had been preaching to the Gentiles."
LEGACY is all about PEOPLE and "Going by Revelation" is the style of Legacy of Worship, Int'l. God has a much greater purpose in mind than arranging a weekend meeting, revival or missions trip, when linking us with other ministries.
We'll never forget "how" we first went to East Africa. We were leading worship at a conference at The Dwelling Place in Irving, Texas back in 2009. Two weeks prior to the conference, Bill wrote a song, titled: Release Heaven's Rain. This song was sung on Friday night of the conference and used as a musical backdrop during a designated time of prayer for 5 nations.
Pastor Cosmas was from the city of Mombasa. He stepped to the microphone and declared, "The drought is over!" We echoed his declaration for several minutes, believing God would send rain to his nation that had little or no rain for 3 years. Bill's song was prophetic, and, as always, God was "up to something good".
The next morning Pastor Cosmas received a text from his wife, reading, "IT'S RAINING!" When calculating the time difference, we determined that the rain began the same hour the declaration was made.
But this "Prophetic Moment" presented a slight challenge for Cosmas. Bishop Gilead, who presides over more than 1,000 churches in East Africa, told him, "We no longer believe in prophets and prophetic happenings." This was told to Cosmas only 2 weeks prior to leaving for our conference.
Pastor Cosmas politely asked Brother Bill, "What shall I do? What can I say to Bishop Gilead?"
Bill replied, "Just tell Bishop the story."
Within 2 months, Bishop Gilead sent word, saying, "Bill, please come to Mombasa and teach us."
Now, you know "how" we went to East Africa the first time! God chose it for us; we went by revelation. Like Moses, we went in response to the cries of God's people! It's been 10 years, now; in fact, this blog was written from Kenya!
The photo below was taken during that 2009 missions conference, when, it a tender moment, Bill prayed for Pastor Cosmas. The photo reflects relationship and commitment to PEOPLE. Please read the caption, too, as it further describes our heart.

In next week's blog "Part 2 of LEGACY is all about PEOPLE", read about "how" we then connected to Burundi, a nation currently being transformed by the power of God! Once again, you'll be inspired by our unfolding story!

Please reply with your prayer requests. I will be our pleasure to pray for you, too! How may we serve you.

Shalom

Legacy of Worship, Int'l Official Blog

At LEGACY, we believe relationship is everything; so, an introduction is in order. Whether you've known us for decades or we met last week, we'd like to make "the uniqueness of what we do" super clear. So, here we go:

1. LEGACY is all about PEOPLE: we are super-relational. Just ask anyone who knows us well. We walk with churches, ministries, and leaders at home and abroad. We are service-oriented, too. "How can we serve you?" is the question we frequently ask to those we relate.
2. LEGACY is all about TRANSFORMATION: we impact leaders and nations. This is an important aspect of the ministry of Legacy. Our forty-six year history has witnessed the transformation of  economies, nations, churches, families and leaders, alike.
3. LEGACY is all about ADVANCEMENT: we provide vision-solutions for both the spiritual and practical, as the Church-at-large expands across the globe. Advancing the Church is the one fruit we cherish the most!
4. LEGACY is all about EMPOWERMENT: we commit to train ministries, families, and individuals with the whole gospel for the long haul. In addition, we are always looking for an opportunity to send out trained individuals into their ministry field. We provide wisdom, knowledge and understanding in every aspect of ministry along the way.
5. LEGACY is all about BREAKING BARRIERS: we are trans-generational and cross-cultural. Our ministry thrives among all age groups of Today's Church. God has graced us to both understand the needs as well as build bridges between generations and cultures! As the Lord leads, we frequently address preexisting barriers of sexism, elitism, religious systems, and more.

Breaking-Barriers, Transformation, Advancement, Empowerment and People are the five words to look for when reading our future blogs. See you there!

Grace and Glory!

Brother Bill
